805 Lacrosse is an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to growing the game of lacrosse on the Central Coast and providing every local child who is interested in playing the “fastest game on two feet” an opportunity to play recreational and competitive lacrosse. 805 Lacrosse understands that parents may be hesitant to invest in purchasing equipment for their child to play a game that they are unfamiliar with and didn’t play themselves. With that in mind, 805 Lacrosse strives to make good quality rental equipment available to as many players as possible, especially players brand new to the game.

GIRLS EQUIPMENT

The only equipment required for girls' lacrosse is a stick, goggles, and mouthpiece (soccer-style cleats are highly recommended but aren't technically required). Recently, modified girls' helmets that incorporate goggles into the helmet have been developed for an extra measure of safety. Those are not required but can be used by any player who chooses to use them. There are not many options available. All girls who register with 805 Lacrosse for the upcoming 2024 season can borrow a stick and goggles free of charge for use during the season, if needed. If your daughter needs to borrow equipment for the upcoming season, please select that option during the online registration process. There are not any sizing options needed for the girls' stick or goggles, so they will be able to pick up their equipment at the first practice of the season.

BOYS RENTAL EQUIPMENT

This 2024 spring season, 805 Lacrosse has full sets of boys' equipment available for rent for $60 for brand new players. Rental equipment is also available for 2nd year players, but all returning players are expected to at least have their own stick. By the 3rd season playing with 805 Lacrosse, our expectation is that boys' players will have most of their own equipment; that way, the league's limited supply of rental gear can be utilized by newer players. 

Equipment will be available on a first-come, first-served basis based upon when the registration process is completed. The rental fee will need to be paid during the online registration process. 

• BRAND NEW PLAYERS/1ST YEAR PLAYERS: $60 rental fee includes all lacrosse equipment needed, including a stick, helmet, gloves, elbow pads, and shoulder pads (cleats, mouthpieces, and athletic cup are not included in the rental process).
  
• 2ND YEAR PLAYERS: $60 fee, includes everything listed above except for a stick. 
• 3RD YEAR OR MORE: Players are expected to have all of their own equipment, or at a minimum, their own stick, gloves, elbow pads, and shoulder pads. Helmets are available for rent during the online registration process if needed (for $30 per season). 

For all boys renting equipment, we will hold an equipment distribution day prior to the start of practices (tentatively scheduled for February 17th or 24th, 2024). Each player will receive a designated time to come pick up his equipment so he can get properly sized and outfitted with the necessary equipment.
