805 LAX MISSION

Mission Statement for the 805 Youth Lacrosse Association

Our mission is to develop the skills of athletes who wish to play competitive lacrosse, at all age levels, on the Central Coast of California in the County of San Luis Obispo.  Our focus is on the personal growth of individual players - on and off the field.  We are committed to teaching the power of team performance, increasing the number of participants in the Central Coast region and promoting a deep respect for the game in a safe and positive environment.

By working together, the elected officers, board of directors, players, coaches, volunteers and parents are the foundation for our success now and in the future.

Accordingly, 805Lax seeks to:

  • Teach and educate, not only to develop more skilled lacrosse players, but to make better human beings.

  • Encourage and support the growth of lacrosse.

  • Provide competitive playing opportunities for as many players as possible.

  • Develop individual fundamentals to create a foundation for better team players.

  • Foster an environment that allows everyone to learn and to grow, including parents and coaches.

  • Instill knowledge of and respect for the sport in every player.

  • Provide all participants with a safe, memorable and fun experience.
